Something I love

In the last couple of weeks the boys have really started becoming independent.  They play for longer stretches of time without the need for mommy or daddy to be involved.

One of the things I love most is to watch them sit on their knees and peer into the basket of toys.  They might push the toys around or pull a few out and throw them aside.  They always stare intently at the toys and then reach in and purposefully pull out a specific toy.

It always makes me smile.  They are developing opinions and making choices.  They are no longer passive participants in their world.  I love that.  Even though I miss their tiny baby-ness I love watching them grow up into little people.  It is amazing and is one of my favorite parts of being a mommy.
